September Update

By September 21, 2019 No Comments

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on the firmware for the boards and we’re happy to say that we’re close to being finally finished. As of today the firmware changes for our motor controller are now completed and the remote changes are not far behind. Both required substantial firmware changes in order to resolve the RF issues and bring them both in line with the latest SDK.

It’s unfortunately taken more effort than originally anticipated to update the firmware with the RF fix along with compatibility with the new SDK from Texas Instruments. Every part of the firmware has to be thoroughly tested against the latest SDK to ensure no further issues are introduced.

Whilst we have been working on the update, we moved all the boards back to our facility in China, so that we can begin updating the firmware before resuming shipping. They’re currently boxed up and waiting in anticipation for completion. We expect it to take 1-2 days to update all the boards once we have completed the remote portion of the firmware.

To avoid further delays we are preparing the rest of the shipping/customs documentation and label details for the remaining boards in preparation of completion.

Once we have completed shipping out our remaining pre orders, we will no longer be pre-selling boards and will be only selling directly from stock. We have produced enough boards at this stage to satisfy our current pre orders along with limited general stock availability.

Additionally we have enough parts on hand for servicing for support and warranty cases should they arise for customers.

It’s been a long hard road for the entire team and our customers, and we can’t thank you enough for your support and can’t wait to see everyone riding their boards.
